Tin Tile – Decorate your home and garden with old or new tin tiles. Antique tin tiles fit nicely with a “shabby chic” French country or American country decor style, while the new tin tiles add an ornamental accent to the decor of any room. Architecture salvage yards, antique stores, and online auctions are some places to find old tin-making tiles. New tin tiles are available at home improvement stores as well as online retailers.
Create decorative furniture for your patio, sunroom or the living room with tin tiles. Center the title on a wooden table or parts of a cabinet and attach it with waterproof construction adhesive. If the tile is smaller than the surface of the table, hold the wooden joint around the perimeter. Make your own decorative headboards by joining rows of wall tiles or the tin roof to a thick 1/4 inch plywood sheet. Alternate the metal plates with mirror tiles or create separations with wooden moldings to frame the individual tiles in the headboard.
